Permanent Hair Removal

Permanent Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a safe, modern solution to unwanted hair—no more razors, waxing appointments, bumps, or ingrown hairs. The laser waves heat the pigment in the hair follicles damaging them, so the hair doesn’t grow back like it does after shaving or waxing. Every treatment permanently reduces the hair by 10-15%. Sessions typically last from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the size and number of areas being treated.

A session usually lasts about 25-45 minutes. It is crucial to drink plenty of water before and after the treatment, which helps flush out the fat molecules. Avoid caffeine for 3 hours before the procedure.

Potential side effects are minimal bruising and soreness, temporary redness, and sensitivity.

Cavitation is not suitable for individuals with pacemakers, severe vascular diseases, metal IUDs, or during pregnancy/breastfeeding.

What to expect from your Laser Hair Removal?

Every patient’s hair is different, so the results can vary—but with each treatment, the hair becomes finer, softer, and 10-15% less.

Some patients see noticeable results after a few sessions, while others may need additional treatments for the best results.

Treatment plans are based on your hair type, skin tone, and goals to ensure optimal results.

Six weeks before your treatment:

  • Discontinue all hair removal methods in the treatment area EXCEPT for shavingincluding waxing, hair removal creams or chemicals, tweezing and electrolysis.
  • Discontinue bleaching your hair in the treatment area.

Two weeks before your treatment:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds.
  • Avoid spray tans and any other kind of self-tanners.
  • Apply sunscreen SPF 30+ daily, and wear barrier protection such as wide-brimmed hats, large sunglasses and protective clothing when outdoors.
  • Avoid aesthetic treatments that may cause irritation to your skin in the treatment area.

Three days before your treatment:

  • Avoid topical irritants — these potentially include harsh soaps, medicated washes, scrubs, oils, retinols, scented lotions and peels.

The day before your treatment:

  • Shave the area(s) in the direction that the hair grows with a new, clean razor.
  • Use a moisturizing shaving cream to reduce irritation.

The day of your treatment:

  • Remove any products such as makeup, deodorant, lotion, sunscreen, etc. from the area being treated before your appointment. If you forget this one, we’ll have wipes on hand.
  • Cover any tattoos on or near the treatment area with a physical barrier—we can help you with this when you arrive!

The day after your treatment:

  • Avoid direct and indirect heat and sweating, including saunas, and exercising.
  • Wear loose fitting clothes
